Thai Banana Sticky Rice (Kao Tom Mud) 泰式香蕉糯米



Thai dessert make from banana sticky rice and coconut milk ,
then wrapped with banana leave and steamed until done.





Thai Banana Sticky Rice (Kao Tom Mud) 泰式香蕉糯米

Servings: 6

Ingredients:
  • 300g Glutinous Rice, soaked for 2 hours and drained 糯米
  • 300g Coconut Milk 椰奶
  • 75g   Caster Sugar 細砂糖
  • 1/2t Salt 鹽
  • 1 Pandan Leaf 香蘭葉

  • 3 Bananas, peeled and cut in half 香蕉
  • 6 Banana Leaves 20cm*20cm, cleaned 香蕉葉

Method:
1.Mixing all sticky rice ingredients together and steam for 30 minutes until rice is translucent and cooked.
2.Stir sticky rice mixture and set aside allow to cool, then divide into 6 equal portions.
3.Spread a portion of sticky rice onto a banana leaf, then place a pieces of banana in the center.
4.Fold the banana leaf to wrap the sticky rice around the banana, then secure both ends with a toothpick.
5.Repeat the process with the rest of the sticky rice mixture.
6.Steam over medium heat for about 30 minutes.
7.Cool completely before serving.
